Zona Romantica, also known as Old Town Puerto Vallarta is one of the best places where we got to experience the magic of Puerto Vallarta. This charming neighborhood is filled with traditional family homes, beloved restaurants, modern condos, boutique shops, and trendy bars.

Walking along the cobblestone streets I could hear the neighbors greeting each other and vendors setting up their wares. It was fascinating to see travelers from all around the world pop in and out of shops and restaurants that raise the local culture, and some of the city’s most iconic spots, like the Los Muertos Pier, located in Los Muertos Beach. And it's because of its warm atmosphere that Zona Romantica Puerto Vallarta is the place to be.

Romantic Zone in Puerto Vallarta - What's in there?

The Romantic Zone is one of Puerto Vallarta’s oldest neighborhoods, and despite the addition of new buildings and businesses, it still holds the charm of Old Town Puerto Vallarta.

It’s a vibrant mix of local businesses and residential spaces, with everything from cozy family homes to towering apartment buildings.

Where Should I Visit in Zona Romantica Puerto Vallarta?

At the entrance of Zona Romantica, walking from the Malecon, our first stop was Lazaro Cardenas Park Puerto Vallarta. This park is decorated in brilliant mosaics by a local artist. From here, we continue a few blocks to the Los Muertos Pier, one of the most photographed spots in town. After exploring these two landmarks, wandering through the cobblestone streets was an unforgettable experience. However, nothing compares to watching the sunset at Los Muertos Beach, it's a must!

Nightlife And What To Do In Zona Romantica

During the day, one of the farmers markets near me I visited was at Lazaro Cardenas Park on a Saturday morning. There, I discovered a variety of crafts, organic foods, and delicious treats.

At night, there are many bars and clubs where you can experience the life and energy of the city. The best part about going out here for the night is the inclusivity of the businesses that welcome everyone.
